so well you know all the things that annoy me. i.e. throat clearing and etc... ive writtten about it quite alot before.
so heres an addition to the list:
1. people SHUSHING ME. lets see im almost 24 years old, DONT U EVER SHUSH ME.
there's these two girls who sit in the back and shush people in the middle of class. granted people sometimes talk over the teacher - but i say leave it to the teacher to manage the class or well i tend to turn around and give silent evil looks. although, who died and made you in charge of "silence". its not only annoying to me, its annoying to the teacher. lol one of my teachers.. he's the funniest guy. just yesterday when those two girls "sshhhhhhhhhhhhh'd' ppl
he said "oh my... i guess since the shushing just happend, perhaps its time for a story"
LOLLL i almost fell off my seat and died laughing.
well there cant be just one ADDITION can there? hahahaha... second biggest pet peeve - people touching my food.
WOMAN GET URE HANDS OUT OF MY FOOD.. let me eat in peace. this one girl, actually the same one that throat clears, comes in all the time and asks me what im eating. not only does she ask me what im eating, she proceeds to bring that pointy finger of hers into my food to TOUCH IT.
i smakced that finger thinking "girl u better not!!!".. i dont know where ure fingers been -- you coulda picked ure nose before this, picked a wedgie, cleaned out your ears -- JUST NASTY!!!
ok i ask people what they're eating too..but i absolutely dont even thinking about putting my finger into their food. AHH HELL NAW!!.
3. my teachers and their use of the word component. we thought we were going crazy thinking that they component too often. lol my group at the last presenatation, we had to make up a case scenario.. the patients name was "tui mani komponen" = too many components. lol my teacher still didnt get it. its not just the resident faculty, its the guest lecturers too.. its like a SECRET COMPONENT SOCIETY. oh if ure gonna be a guest lecturer you get an orientation and in the orientation they instruct you to use the word component as many times as you can. so my class decided to have a "component pool". whoever guesses the correct amount of times component is said gets 25 dollars gift certificate.
the count is wayyyy over a 200 and its only been 8 weeks. SEE WHAT I MEAN!!!
SO finally dead and tired me and my friends have come up with the 'TIC REMIX 2008"
it consists of "hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm hmmmmmmm hmmmmmmmm ahem ahem ahem (imagine throat clearing) uhhhh uhhh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh sniff sniff sniffff (someone sniff their nose) shhhhhhhhhh shhhh *disc spinning* hmm sushhhhh uh uh *nail file in the back ground* backed by a compo compo compooonnennnnntttttt"

Yea it gets disgusting when people try to touch your food. I had a big turn off when they did it on my food. Sucks eh. I think such mannerless acts can happen only from the Indians. So yea next time they do - SHOOT them and spin on the song would be a cool shot :)
Don't get too serious with work as well. Take it easy.

touching food! something i hate so muuuch!! i mean we all go to a dhaba outside college and order food and everyone shares everyone else's food, which is ok. but there are some ppl who just want to have a bite of that paneer Frankie u just bought even before u hav filled a mouthful. its ur food, but other ppl go have a grab at it before u do. and they are friends.... good friends....i dunno how to express my disapproval either!
and yeah, isnt it fun to notice professors and their mannerisms? we once had a male teacher in school and he'd ask questions to students. so this is how he wud address a boy or a girl:
"ess, girl, you. so what is the central idea of thees poyam?"
we used to laugh our asses off!
we have a professor who teaches us reporting and he lectures us standing. he is ultra thin, has a waist thinner than most of us girls in class. so he holds a book in his right hand and with his left hand free, he keeps moving it in such a way that it feels like hes trying to get the lid off an obstinate dabba or is handling the DJ console like they do in discotheques!

Call that disgusting and this has not happened once but several times by most Indians. That was why I asked if it was done by them.
Reason they do these is because they lack that consciousness that it is disgusting!

Fair enough.. I made a mistake of generalization but I don't have high regard for fellow Indians (not all) after what I saw and experienced in the US. I think people of same stature in India, live better ! but habits die hard is another one.
We are just discussing so don't feel so sorry about anything. Your ideas and my ideas... That is what it is all about, is'nt it !
well, im glad that you atleast see it my way. im very stubborn and very strong minded about certain things. but after what you say in US might've been A GROUP OF PEOPLE, acting A CERTAIN WAY.

i can say the same thing about people littering in india and generalize that AALL INDIANS LITTER. no not all of them do. my sister and my family in india doesnt litter. u know???
